I have a HSE commmercial scuba qualification. I want to become a recreational diving instructor with the aim of working abroad for a while after university, whilst i consider taking my commercial diving further. Can anyone advise me which path to take. Should i go with PADI or BSAC? Is BSAC recognised abroad, say in indonesia for example? And finally has anyone had a similar experience themselves and would highly recommend somewhere?

If you are going to teach abroad, then i would stick with PADI.
its much more recognised in dive centers abroad, and youll be able to get better offers for employment with it.
Personally i would say become a PADI divemaster here with your HSE medical, and get to MASTER SCUBA DIVER qualification purely because if i were to employ you, it would show your proficiency in at least 5 specialities.
then go abroad and get an internship for IDC.

Good luck.
