Hi all! I saw a nice little gadget the other day (one taken from the tech diving community). A german company made a nice neckstrap where you can hang your spare 2.stage. Problem is that when you where a drysuit with a hat this fancy strap is simply too smal. If you try to adjust your regulaor it falls out. In other words: not very helpfull.

My question to this forum is: how do I make a neckstrap using a eleastic string and some strips (used normally for electric wires). Does anyone know a site on the net where I can see this ... or can draw/scan how I can make this myself (the way it should).

I am not a tech diver (yet) but like to use this little handy feature to keep my 2nd. stage on my chest, close (not as close as that German thing keeps it) .

Ciao!

HI.

The neckstrap you are refering to is made from surgical tubing and attached by the tie-wrap that holds the mouthpiece to the regulator.

A picture of this can be found here: http://www.tekdiv.com/Hardware.htm

Hope this is of help to you.

Hi there,
these are so easy to make, all you need is alength of surgical tubing and 2 cable ties/quick ties..Measure it around your neck and use the ties to encircle the mouthpiece, then simply tie off..i personally file the rough ends of the ties away, as ithey can rub and cause irritation.. :-)
