I am going to Barbados next March with my son, (a non diver). Whilst there I would like to do at least 1 days diving. Any recommendations of Diving Schools, anybody?

Hi, we went 3 years ago and stayed at the Silver Sands hotel on the South coast.

We went diving with a guy called Ram, can't remember the company name. He runs try dives for free in a few of the hotels (in the pool) and has a boat to take you diving.

I took my daughter with me (14 at the time) who had never been diving before, and at the time I hadn't been diving for 10 years. Ram looked after us and we had a couple of days great diving. Not a great deal to see, except there are some boats that have been purposely sunk, and we swam with a few turtles.

Ram also has a band and plays in a few of the Hotels.

I was diving in Barbados in April this year - great. I stayed on south of the island, but dived with High tides. They are based on the middle of the west coast, so they cover all the west and south dive sites. Def dive the ss Stravonikita and Carilye Bay. FAB! Enjoy

I was in Barbados of Apri of this year. I found 'Roger's Scuba Shack' in the center of Bridgetown. I went out with Mark - brother of Roger - and he was fab. Friendly, v.professional and took me to the best spots. Highly recommended.
