I learnt to die in the maldives and it was fantastic. I had one on one training while staying at Kuramathi Village.

I have been to sharm [did not dive] and while the sights may be impressive, the sheer number of divers takes away the fun of it all.

If you are learning to dive and and you have the choice, I would recommend the Maldives and once qualified, go to Sharm for the beauty.

Have just returned from sharm..spent 13 wonderful days there diving nearly every day..
Can highly reccommend Oonas dive club hotel..
they do a 7 nights B&B PLUS 6 days diving ( 2 dives per days) for £275.00.
Staff are very very helpful..
My total cost of the holiday was £730.00..this includes the extra 5 days acommodation.upgrade to a suite. The Deep Spec, Thistlegorm Dive, Dunraven Dive, Boat Night Dive, 2 Beach Dives, Nitrox use all the holiday, 3 Third Dives, Registration fees for PADI, and transfers to and from the airport.
First class service..
