HI
HAS ANYONE USED A DVD CAMCORDER U/W. I'M IN THE PROCESS OF PURCHASING A CAMCORDER AND LIKE THE EASE OF A DVD CAM WHERE BY I CAN TAKE OUT THE DVD AND VIEW IT BUT I HAVE READ ARTICLES ON BROKEN PICS FROM INERTIA AND CENTRIFUGAL MOVEMENT WHEN THEY ARE USED FOR SPORTS APPLICATION.

last time I looked (6 months ago) these DVD cameras didn't use normal dvds but mini-dvds. Main problem is the recording time is much less that mini-DV tapes (I seem to remember about 20-30mins) Which is not very practical. The discs also cost alot more than usual. IMO these cameras are a non-starter. If there's a better one on the market now I'd be curious ...
