Question: My girlfriend had/has "distal colitis". Last she took some hormone treatment. Now she is much better and its almost gone. Still few drops of blood each time. But no pain. Can she dive with colitis? We are planning to become instructors. Thanks

Thanks for the query

In general once the colitis has settled and is under control, you can dive. Your girlfriend will need to have a dive medical by a suitably qualified doctor to ensure it is safe. I would suggest you contact your local diving doctor for this, or if you can get to London, I can see you: 0207 806 4028 for an appointment.

Kind regards
