Hello. I am a former diver in the Navy, and I just finished the commercial diver course. Does anybody know some job opportunities ?
As previous experience, I was a welder an d fitter in a Shipyard, and I have some construction knowledge as well.

Hi, did you do your course in Fort William? If so you should have been given a spreadsheet containing contact details for diving contractors across the UK and overseas. At the start you need to be proactive, and keep sending your CV out there. I once got told by a diving contractor that he wouldn’t look at a CV until it had been on his desk at least 3 times! If you also keep an eye on The Underwater Centre’s Facebook page, (www.facebook.com/theunderwatercentre) there will be posts when we’re contacted by diving contractors looking for new guys. Good luck – it’s certainly a good time to be getting started as the industry is busy.
