Hi, I am currently giving serious thought to enrolling onto the 50m offshore air diver ADAS part 3 qualification in Tasmania. Upon completion of the course what is the likelihood of obtaining work as a commercial diver? I am also a qualified electrician and have a degree in electrical engineering. Would this help?

The prospects of you getting a job are very high at the moment as the industry is very busy. From a purely diving point of view being an electrician is not much of a help. However it proves you can work with your hands and diving is only a small part of the divers work therefore I am sure prospective employers would look favourably on you electrical abilities for fixing such things as communications equipment when not diving.
