Best LED color to be seem in deeper water?
I am working with a designer on a metal detector for use in the deeper water. Which color LED is the best color to be able to see? Red, yellow and green.

Hi Terry.

I've only had experience of red LEDs under water. That was using ultrasonic thickness equipment. I found red was easy to read. The tool was normaly used at arms length. Of course as the light is emited it is not relient on light penetration from the surface to show it. So I imagine most colours would show easily. Best of luck with the project.
