Notes :

The SS Stavronikita is one of the largest wrecks in the Caribbean and is an excellent wreck dive with multiple profiles. Not for the inexperienced diver her propeller sits at 38m with the deck at 25m sloping away from the shoreline. We begin with a descent to the propeller, enter the wreck and then make our way forward and up examining cabins, holds and engine spaces on the way. We then work our way up through the decks. However, this is only one way to dive the wreck, she does provide the option of sticking to the upper deck, cabins and bridge, an equally exciting and interesting dive. The ship was sunk in just 13 minutes and the blast holes are still very evident, providing light as well as great entry points for the less experienced wreck diver.
The Stavronikita is great fun to explore, which generally takes a number of dives due to her depth, however the true final delight of the dive is discovering the amount of coral and sealife on the mast as you spiral up towards the safety stop which is then completed within sight of it.
