Small Boat Launching :
You can launch a boat from the ne corner of the harbour tucked away in between the car park and Albert pier, the alternative being is accross the harbour, opposite the dry dock. Both are controlled by the Penzance Harbour commissioners-permission and the appropriate fee must be sorted out with the hatbour master(tel 01736 66113) before you launch

she was on her last voyage, from the Mersey to Falmouth,carrying her last cargo of coal, when she started to leak in a howling nnw gale off Lands End. She reached Mounts Bay almost on her beam ends and full of water
