Slipway now has an electronically operated barrier. No passcard no entry!!!!

Launching is usually from South Shields Public slipway, however, a permit is required for the car/trailer park which can be bought from S. S. Museum on production of current boat insurance ( check opening hours ). In summer months the council check for permits. if in doubt launch boat & park somewhere else.
