Now costs £14.00 for entry. We stopped going after they refused a refund for non diving when buddy did not turn up.

I completed both my open water and advanced water dives here. It can get busy but is great for learning in. I'd recommend it, especially for first time divers.

I hear alot of divers complaining about the cost of entry. I have dived alot in the states, Florida, and alot of the fresh water springs charge $25(18 QUID) upto $40(30 QUID)Blue Groto. the facilitys there are no where like Capernwray, infact you have to bring your own hot drinks.i can understand people wanting to save money but when you look at the cost for going out along the coast, fuel, food, time it all pans out. May be if the Owners of this site had a deal where the more you dive the more you get "dive 5 times get one free entry..... just a suggestion. Dive deep Dive long Dive often. take care, be safe, have fun! Dive Leader!

VERY VERY COMMERCIAL SITE, lots of schools at times can not get into or out of the lake, as happened last november when I dived here. Vis was very good and lots to see (attractions and fish), nice diving here but too many schools here for my liking.....

Took my wife (surface cover & refreshments) and two diver sons to Capernwray late August; what a beautiful place with friendly staff. The visibility was good with plenty of interesting underwater features. It was worth the five hour round trip and the diving fees. I canít understand people criticising the price; where else can you get a days diving with facilities this good for the price? Bar stool critics are two a penny; do they complain about spending £10 on beer, and later relieve themselves of it against a wall!

Dived there today. Had a super time, Water was cold but verry clear. went to shop and bought a book as they have a 25% sale on at the moment. I also found the staff rarther freindley. Had a brew but it was not worth £1. Quite buisy but still had great fun. £10 to get in was a bit steep, but all in all a good place to dive.
