I remember well diving the 2 quarries at Deiniolen back in the late 70's with UCNW Bangor - lowering tanks down on ropes as it was a little hairy climbing down with the gear. Two tunnels one blocked meant you could swim from one to the other. Tunnel about 20-30 metres long between the two. One quarry was about 40 feet deep and the other about 80 i think. I remember a few buildings and quite a few 1950's cars. Went back a few years ago but sadly they are both filled in.
