hi, I am new to diving and am wondering do you float on the water without having to inflate your BC? (I have my first lesson in 2 weeks)

Can anyone help?

Hi Chris, as its your first lesson you may or may not need a weight belt most people foalt and can desend just by breathing out is you have a light cylinder you may require a weight belt if its heavy then you may need to put some air in your BCD your instructor should sort all this out for you good luck Paul BSAC instructor
