Hi Liz I went to france 2 years ago on holiday and we are moving there next year to live some schools/ centres will accept Padi but most will only accept CMAS where in France are you going. I had Padi/SAA/BSAC & off course CMAS certs so I had no problems they do a lot of deco diving if you can take your own kit, the school I went with was CMAS/FFESSM and there kit was like I was trained on back in the mid 80s any more questions mail me.

Hi liz, I was in France in August 2005 and stayed in Cap D'Agde. I used a diving center there called Abyss Plongee and they accepted my AOW PADI cert with no problem. They did check my card and I must say they were very good. You should be fine with your PADI cert.

This is obviously an old thread but for anybody looking at the possibility of diving in the South of France it is worth being aware of Diamond Diving. They run long weekend holidays to a number of destinations on the French Riviera and can be contacted on 02032520000. The website is www.diamonddiving.net.
