Hi all did a discover diving course in the dominican republic august 03, had real trouble equalising but eventually got down to 35ft and really enjoyed the experience would like to get qualified and am thinking of doing this in red sea. However one ear blead after dive instructors said I'd got reverse compression and am worried that I may not be able to dive again, does anyone out there know about this condition and have any tips on how to avoid reoccurance of the problem?

I'd like to hear from anyone who uses these, do they work? In theory sounds great. I've had similar problems with equalizing my ears

OK normaly a ruptured ear drum will heal on its own. I am an Instr and mine have split for various reasons many times over the past 30 yrs of diving.
Its pointless trying to give anyone advice on this subject as there are various degrees of ruptures.
Only thing to do is find a good throat, nose and ear doctor and let him look, it would be advisable if this Dr. also knows about diving ..........
Normaly a reverse block is something that does not happen BUT if you have this complaint then you should go and see a doctor ...........
