Is there any divers out there whom have experienced problems with leaking masks.I have spent pounds and pounds on defferent masks yet I have still not been able to find one which is almost leak proof.

I would appreciate any sensible suggestions please.

Try contacting your local dive shop or one connected to a dive school and see if you can try some masks at a pool session and just purchase whichever one suits you?

I have tried my dive shop/club and,I have tried the masks in the pool and they are great for the first few pool sessions and then they seem to leak especially on a dive.

Thanks for the reply any way.

Try wetting face before the dive and the mask seal to.Also, try moving the strap at the back of your head further down towards your neck.I found that if the strap is to high it can encourage leaking.Surface prep is the key,if its air tight and comfortable at the surface,it should minimise leaking on the dive.Hope this helps.

Hi peter I'm a bsac instructor and i find that most of the time some one has a leaking mask its because the strap is pulled too hard the strap only needs to be pulled lightley, I often swim round the pool with the strap over the front to show trainees it does not need to be pulled hard

Hi, I know where you are coming from.I have tried wearing the mask loose as well as tight but, to no avail.
Do you have any opinions on full face masks.
