Hi, new to the forum. \
\
I\'ve always wanted to dive commercially and I am looking for the best options. The steelworks I last worked at are paying free training for people in any field. Ideally would like to walk into a job once i have passed any courses / qualifications recommended by you helpful people. \
\
I have my padi open water and have dived the gt barrier reef. \
From the north east (UK)\
\
Thanks for any help

Out of the frying pan into another one jut now, I'm afraid...the Diving industry is decimated just now, due to low oil prices.

Oh no, this recession just seems to be getting worse, but its got to get better at some point. What courses would be the best place to start? Thanks for your reply

The cheapest possible. The NYD school in Norways a good option, cheap course (although living in Norway for the duration is expensive ) you get bell bounce experience which you won't get anywhere else...but get the cheapest you can...as long as it's an IMCA or HSE recognised course you don't need much more..
I would strongly recommend a different plan...diving is fucked for at least the next couple of years...
