As far as I am aware if you are learning through a BSAC club this is self-certification if you have none of the medical conditions listed by BSAC.

Hi,

Me and my girlfriend found a doctor on http://www.uksdmc.co.uk/ after our gp was useless and wanted to charge 80 each. I have tinnitus and had back problems and she has asthma. She was charged 45 and mine was free. As mentioned though if you have none of the conditions you could self cert. there are questions on this form though that relate to being over 45 and ask things such as high blood pressure or smoking. It could be worth having a medical anyway for piece of mind but up to you!

Good luck and happy diving!

As long as you are quite healthy and don't suffer any breathing or respiratory conditions just visit your local g.p. who will give you a quick health check and you should be ok I only started diving 3yrs ago , hope this helps
