Hi,

I'm a newly qualified diver and have been debating between buying the the Waterproof 7mm semi dry or the Oceanic 3pc wetsuit.
Would anyone have any recommendations based on weather in UK? I would appreciate any advice!

Thank you!

Buy a dry suit if you want to enjoy UK diving.

Thanks for that! :) I am actually test diving in UK waters for the first time end of the month.... So I'll know about then whether I'm going for a Drysuit then. Its just that the drysuit is just such a significant investment compared to the wetsuit and since I did not qualify in UK waters, I'll need to do a Drysuit specialty in order to be able to buy one.

Which one would you recomment between the two semi dry suits I've mentioned though? I travel quite a bit to South Africa and Australia during their spring/autumn and would like one that suits the water temps there too.

I guess the critical piece is whether a 3pc system does the job as well as a 7mm all through!

Thanks you!

I agree with the comment above re drysuits, but...

I have experience with the Waterproof 7mm, and indeed own 1 other Waterproof exposure suit besides this one. In my opinion they are very well made, very comfortable (partly due to the number of panels), durable and backed up by good customer care. They come at a premium price but you can see where the money goes. You would want to back it up with a vest/hood setup if it's for use in the uk though.

I don't have any association with Waterproof other than as a customer, incidentally.
