Hi all. I have just qualified in my padi open water course.
i am going to sharm el sheik and hop to do some dives. I would like to know what dive packages are. They dont seem to clear.

STANDARD (package 10 dives)
Above service incl.: boat excursions, tanks, weights, dive guide. This I understand.

But not this
Free of charge: 5 unaccompanied dives at the house reef.

1 day house reef
Up to 3 dives unguided

Would I get a guide with me as I cant navigate.

Sorry for being stupid. But i would really appreciate your advice.

Many thanks if you can kindly advise me.... :)

5 Unaccompanied and 3 Unguided means you are on your own. No guide, no Instructor.

Hi Dazzy

Which dive center are you going to be diving with? If they are based in Naama Bay (such as Sinai Divers or Red Sea College) then the house reef (Naama Bay) is really easy to dive; you don't really need a compass just natural navigation. Check about the house reef dives if you are going on your own though, most centers (rightly or wrongly) won't allow solo diving so you'd need to either i) find somebody there in a similar situation or ii) hire a private guide (which negates the free dive really). If you've any more questions about diving in Sharm or Sharm in general, don't be afraid to ask. Have a great time. Best wishes, cooperscuba
