Hi all Im looking for more information regarding my attempt to become a navy diver. I have my padi open water qual to 18 metres and two years of experience in ship and submarine propeller manufacuring I have been trying to get into diving for over four years but the training costs are rediculous up at fortbill, I have decided my last chance is to attempt to join the navy as a mine clearence diver (bubble head) and have applied, I take my aptitude test on the 16/02/2010 but heard on the grape vine that there may be a two year waiting list for this navy position does anyone know if this is this true? I will be 30 then which is 1 year till im to old to apply! I am extremely fit and have been training for the position for the last two months and understand the training requirements of the position but does anyone know if I stand a chance of getting in or is it just the 18 year old kids taking all the positions any info would be greatly appreciated - Frogman if your still around any info cheers
