I am a member of a Dutch group of 4 who booked a 2-week trip to the Maldives middle of august. We booked with in Eindhoven, which had close connections with (or Tony Backhurst Diving Ltd Cranleigh, Surrey). The website of has exactly the same layout as the Dutch site had so likely connected.
During the booking was stated that there is close co-operation with UK ( (or Tony Backhurst Diving Ltd Cranleigh, Surrey)) and that the trip would be guaranteed by AITO/ATOL. Total amount paid was over 10.000,-.
In October 4 days before the trip would start we still did not received tickets and vouchers. In half a day time we found out that there would not be a holiday, office in Holland was closed, manager/owner no money to pay back.
Now one month later we are still in a legal fight with the manager/owner of the Dutch company. However we also have information that (or Tony Backhurst Diving Ltd Cranleigh, Surrey) had plans to take-over the Dutch interests. In a signed letter of intent is agreed that from end of July till beginning of September al trips are booked on the background by (or Tony Backhurst Diving Ltd Cranleigh, Surrey) ad that the flights would be arranged by Holland. It now seems that somehow the deal went wrong. The two company's are in a legal fight with already us 4 victims who lost over 10.000,-!!!
Both of them keep pointing at each other and do not take responsibility and don't seem to realise that they are fighting with their source of money as victims.
Can anybody help me to get more information? Historical links between in Eindhoven Holland and (or Tony Backhurst Diving Ltd Cranleigh, Surrey)? Information on co-operation between these two company's. Maybe even information about the takeover deal. Information on the link to (same layout website). Any information is helpful!!
