Hi, does anyone have any information on the training and the validity of the qualifications gained in South African training schools versus the UK (Scottish) ones. I am looking to start the hse combo course but a weeeeeee bit put back by the 10K fee involved. Any advice would be massively appreciated.

The certifications are both valid. The South African schools are surposed to be alright though the local areas are apparently rough and the quality of the training less regualted than in the UK (from a friend who did his commercial qual. there).
However Fort William is very pricy which is a fair consideration given the ever decreasing market for commercial divers. Another option is applying to offshore companies who might train you up god loves a trier.
