Hi, i am 22 years old and qualified as an advanced open water diver. I am really keen to train as a commercial diver and am looking for all the advice/help i can get on this. I would like to know the sort of skills required and where the best place to obtain these are, i was also keen to find out the various ways to fund any courses, for example whether apprentiships or sponsorship training where an option, and if so any links to these. I am based in the north west but travelling to any destination would not be a problem, like i say any advice at all small or large would be greatly apreciated : )

thanks Max.

Take it you couldn't be bothered to look a few threads down.

That pretty much says it all.

Forget about your scuba quals as they are not relivant to commercial diving.

There is no apprentishships or sponserships, however your local bank manager will lend you the required funds.

Good luck.
