Internet purchasing is ok for the most part, but id steer you away from REGULATORS , MASK AND BCD unless you have tried them on and found them to be fine.

A mask needs to fit you properly, therefore if youre adamant to buy from the internet, go to a shop and try them first.
REGULATORS are one of the most important pieces of kit. So unless you try them for ease of breathing, youll not know if you get on with them or not.
DO NOT BUY second hand ones unless you can be sure they are fine, too many people buy used regs to find they need servicing and parts to make worthy of use. Normally working out to be as expensive if not more than buying new.
and the BCD needs to fit you and feel comfortable. Also again ive seen secondhand ones come to dive friends that have bladder problems, dump problems or are falling apart in places!!

Now seeing as you have never dived before WHY OH WHY are you buying equipment?? Go do a TRY DIVE, then do your course. Youll get the feel of what feels right and make a more informed choice when you come to purchase your equipment.

Hi

I wouldn't just buy some gear of a random list. I would suggest that you rent some gear first (for the lessons and first dives).

During this renting, you will find out what you like about gear, and what you dislike. This will make it a lot eassier for you to chose.

For some help on selecting gear, you might want to check www.sportsgearadvice.com
