I'm looking for information on the wreck of the Figero in Guernsey. Supposedly it was torpedoed by a U-boat on 26/01/1918 but I have been able to find virtually nothing about it. It is a good wreck laying in about 40m off the SW shore of Guernsey, Channel Islands.

Hi. I've tried to pick up the thread on the bsac web site but it seems to have disapeared. Further info on the Figaro as follows. Yes it was torpedoed as stated but it made it to the south coast of Guernsey where it sank in deep water about half a mile off coast. It is not an easy wreck to fing because it lies along a reef. The hull has been well salvaged and its believed the gun from it is at the Guernsey Museum. I could give you the name of a guy who might be able to tell you more but I'm not sure how to get you that info privately. JM
