Hey, I am going on holiday to Red Sea in a couple of weeks and looking to complete a few dives whilst out there. I also intend to start diving regularly on my return to the UK. Anyone suggest good mask/snorkel that wont break the bank and whether I should buy full foot or adjustable fins.

For a mask go to a shop and try loads on. A bad fitting mask will leak, and most likely cause a lot of discomfort. If it puts any pressure (i.e. makes any contact) with the end or underside of your nose it will feel fine for a minute or two, but will throb after an hour at any depth. Also any contact with your brow is liable to leave you with a headache. It should stick to your face without the strap if you breathe in through your nose. Don't worry about gimmicks or price, just find the one that fits you well.

For fins, go for open heel if you plan diving UK. In fact go for open heel anyway. I can't think of any advantage to Fullfoot fins. Plenty of disadvantages though.
