I s it possible to dive on prtected wrecks? either by recieveing training, acquiring a permit or supervised dive? I only say this as I think it would be a great shame if these wrecks are not available to the wider diving community. Thanks

Hi there,

the simple answer is maybe.

It depend on the classification of protection - some you can dive on a look but don't touch nor enter basis - some special permit - some definately no.

Go have a look at the MCA website and this has all the details you need about this subject. The Q&A forum here has more details as i've answered questions along these lines in the past...
