no experience of either camera, however having had a quick butchers at the spec of the nikon on dpreview i'd go for that one. why? well, it takes 4gb SDHC cards, shoots video at 30fps, has VR, but importantly has a manual exposure mode. continuous shooting mode is lame, focus speeds are sluggish, but still usable. shutter lag is around 1/10s so not that much of a killer. sensor is pretty noisy at higher iso, with 400iso looking like the max usable setting. no RAW support.

if i could find one cheap with a housing i'd consider it as a replacement for my oly 5060.

Hi there,

The main difference between the two cameras is that the Nikon P5100 has full manual controls whereas the Fuji F100 hasn't! Your choice of camera will really depend on how creative you would like to get underwater and as to whether you would like to use a wide angle lens and a strobe at some stage.

Both cameras are nice, I've seen the results from both, it depends on how many buttons you would like to play with whilst you are underwater diving!

If you have any more questions, just let me know.

Best of luck and happy bubbles,

Maria :)
