Foot in the Door
posted : February 29, 2008 Post subject: Give a guy a break
Iím a Class II/HSE Part 1 (IMCA recognized) commercial diver, that holds a Dive Medic (IMCA recognized), both completed at PDC in Durban South Africa. I am also a university graduate with a B.Comm degree. I am currently living in the UK and am able to relocate to any area where a position in which I would be able to prove my abilities is available.
Iím extremely hard working, and eager to learn, an 'out of the box' thinker who loves nothing more than a challenge.
I am only looking for an opportunity to prove that I would be an asset to any team.
The problem I have is simple, In the commercial diving Industry itís only about who you know and the contacts you have. I became a commercial diver with no family or friends in the industry, and although I have great work and diving references and an impressive CV, I am still unable to get Ďa foot in the door of this industryí.

I ask that if anybody would like to give a hard working motivated diver a chance, be it diving or even just in the diving industry, please give me a shout. I would be more than happy to travel to any location for an interview, and can send through CVís and references.

All I ask for is a change to prove myself.

Thanks
Sean
