I've seen a 2nd hand compressor for sale and thought this would be an ideal addition to our club, as the club pay over 500 per year on airfills for club cylinders, then the club members who have their own pay for fills.

What I was thinking (as treasurer of the club) was to purchase this compressor and have it serviced. Then the club can have free air fills, and the members can have fills for a 1 - 1.50 to assist in the upkeep.

As its petrol it means we can also carry it with us when we're at sites with no local fill stations.

Does anyone out there know the rules and requirements for a PADI club to use its own compressor? I've contacted DAN already to see if our club insurance covers us for 3rd party liability for use of the compressor.

we have 1 instructor (able to teach assistant instructors)
1 DM/Trainee assistant instructor
1 DM
3 Rescue/Trainee DM
and a number of other members.

Any advice to be given would be much appreciated.
