I am trying to get a feel for some of the best dive sites around the world, inclusive of the UK.
Can anyone offer their views? P.s Where is good to dive on the East Coast?
Many Thanks

Far to subjective :-)

One mans mud pit is another treasure trove.

Personally i have loved diving the west coast of thailan and The Phillipines for scenic beauty, but my most memorable dives have all been UK based wrecks etc the M1 and the Limbourne both standing out.You know the old saying "different strokes for different folks".

In the UK, I and my buddies usually dive at St Abbs, Berwickshire during the summer. Mainly boat diving although you can shore dive in a few spots. The skippers are all local ex-fishermen who know the waters inside out. St Abbs is also part of a Voluntary Marine Reserve.
Elsewhere, have a look at Malta. I've dived there for the last 2 years and thoroughly enjoyed it. 20-30m vis., 22-26 degrees surface temp.
See my website: http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~iccarter/pages/diving/malta_2007.htm.
