Anyone here dived with Tigers? How was it?

Any tips on location or time of year?

Any info appreciated.

Love to all.

Dived with Tigers on Aliwal Shoal in South Africa, totally AWESOME, have a look at www.divebums.co.uk for some pictures. We only had one Tiger turn up, but we had about 1 1/2 hours at about 10m with it. We went in 2005 and the Tiger turned up, we went last year and it didn't appear, but apparently this was only about the 2nd time this had happened. However, despite our disappointment at the missing Tiger it was made up for by the appearance of about 20 Dusky Sharks which stayed with us for about 1 1/2 hours, again, totally AWESOME. We went with Scuba Addicts, www. scubaaddicts.com. They were great, looked after us really well, and the two different guys we had for the Tiger diving really knew their stuff, Walter and Mark Addison. We are looking forward to going back again maybe next year and doing the Tigers again. I can't recommend Scuba Addicts enough. We also went to Mozambique with them and had some unbelievable diving with Whale Sharks and Manta Rays.

Great stuff. Thanks for the tips. Aliwal Shoal sounds like a good idea, want to combine the trip with a bit of cage diving as well (lifelong ambition) but have no idea what that involves equiptment-wise, I don't think my shorty will do the job in those waters..
