hi ive got a typhoon neoprene dry suit the adv is they areimore thermal insulated the wrist seal are neoprene which in my book is better than the other type, it all so has a revoling dry hose con. a shoulder dump valve is bettrer than a wrist one diss adv is its more bouancy on surface and you need extra weight about 2-3kg

I prefer membrane because you can vary the amount of insulation under your suit. Thick undersuit and any extra layers needed for winter and shorts and T shirt somewhere sunny like Lanzarote in Feb.

I had the same question myself the other week! :) Membrane or neoprene...and after much thought I opted for the membrane option.

I did this purely because I could add more layers underneath for the colder weather, whereas you are limited for space to add layers in a neoprene suit. Plus, I was told as you go deeper the neoprene loses some of it's thermal properties as it is compressed.

Plus I learnt in membrane so that was another deciding factor. :)

Hope this helps.
