Hi there, first post on this forum. Over the Christmas period I have done a PADI Discover Scuba Diver course, and guess what? I loved every minutes of it. Obviously I realise that diving in the open water must be different than doing it in a swimming pool, but I think that I am hooked. I have decided to carry on with the PADI Open Water course. As I travel to Spain (Costa Blanca) quite a few times in the year, I will do a referral course. One of my question is, after reading quite a few post, should I make the jump and buy my own mask, fins, snorkel and maybe short wetsuit? Or should I borrow/hire them to start with and buy later? Also many people in here diving with contact lense? I am quite short sighted and i know that i could get a mask with corrective lens fitted but I am quite comfortable when I swim with my contact lenses, do you think that it is a problem with scuba diving? And lastly can anyone recommend a good club on the Costa Blanca (near la Manga)?
Many thanks, you will probably see me around asking many question
JC
