Hello everybody,

Wonder if any of you have been diving in the Maldives?

I will be going to the Ari Atoll. Have heard that
diving in the Maldives is one of the best places
in the world.

However there is a slight concern that I do
have. It all seems a bit "touristy" and as far
as I know there is only 1 Dive Center on the
Island. (Werner Lau) who will sadly have to
close the center by the end of the year, since
a big chain has taken over the island.

Also since the tsunami a lot of the reef was
destroyed. Is is really a good thing to have
so many divers there ?... shouldn't we let
the reef rebuild first ?...

But appart from that I m one of the tourists that
will dive their and hopefully take some video
footage to see for myself the conditions.

So if anybody has suggestions, than I more
than willing to hear about them.

By the way if anybody knows where to get a
good priced videocam with housing let me
know ....

Cheers

Catengine
