Hi everybody,
I recently completed the PADI Open Water Course in Sharm. I am now going to Croatia to do some more diving and would love to carry on and do the Advanced. The problem is that the dive centres near where I am staying only offer CMAS** which they say is the equivalent. Do I go ahead and do this, even though I want to go back to PADI when I return from holiday? or am I best waiting another time to do the Advanced OW? Thanks, Shaheer

Personally, i'd wait to do PADI, since its the most widely recognised organisiation and whilst some companies wont accept CMAS, everyone accepts PADI

CMAS is world wide Its one of the 1st dive agencies formed, a cmas 2** diver is the same as a Sports Diver with 20 extra dives or a Dive Leader.
With a Padi & Cmas cert you can dive any were in the world.
Also with a CMAS 2** diver you can in-role in the Padi Divemasters course
