Hi
Got most of my kit from e bay, but regs and bcd I did get serviced before using. Sure saved me a fortune.

Whilst undoubtably there are some good bargains to be had out there including e bay. Second hand kit can be a minefield. ideally before you purchase anything get someone in the know to check the stuff out. Certain stuff doesn't pose that much risk second hand, however in the case of cylinders and regulators be careful.
Without stating the obvious 2nd hand cylinders need to be in test and regulators need to have some service history to them or a t the very least get them serviced. Some of the stuff i've seen advertised from photos clearly looks like it hasn't been used for years. For the price of a new regulator these days its hardly worth considering second hand.
Be careful
