Hi im 31 and a BSAC Sport Diver and have done some photography about 11 years ago ant college i have a canon EOS 300. i would like to have a go at underwater photography but not sure where to start. Is it worth doing a course. thinking about a refresher on the basics . also is there a housing available for my camera if so where best to purchase this. any help most welcome . jay_brads@yahoo.co.uk

Hi Bradsy, I too have the film SLR and looked into getting an underwater housing when i was in NZ and Australia. A company in america makes housings but because of the camera being an slr with vary zoom lenses they wanted $2000 for the waterproof housing. I cant rember the name of the company at the moment. I would look at getting a decent 5+ mega pixel compact camera. I was using fild and to be perfectly honest the results from digital cameras were better and you are not limited to 36 shots. I was very impressed with the 7 mega pixel canon which also took good video as well.
