hi , im a novice diver wiv only 6 logged dives (stoney and ibza) and a i was wondering f there was anywhere else in the uk worth a try?

portland,vobster quay,horsea,swanage, lots of places where are you

Depends on where you are based. Inland as mentioned but include Guildenberg. The next place I would look at would be Portland and a nice easy intro to uk seawater. Good Idea to find yourself a bit of a club with like minded people but don't join the first you try. Where are you based? If anywhere near Cambs drop me a line. jonno34@hotmail.com

If you are ever looking for a cheap break, the west coast of ireland is perfect for all types of scuba diving, from wreck, to caves, to searching for whale sharks

Hi Simon, You could try Breakwater beach at Brixham. It's ideal for novice divers, but gets busy with lots of other divers. You ought to find a buddy or look into club diving, there's plenty about.

thanks for the input u guys much appreciated sorry i havent replied sooner have been working away,im based in waltham abbey essex and am a member of a diving club (where i learnt to dive) they have got ,ots of members which is handy,ill look into all of the above venues as im keen to build up my log book,any idea of websites?? cheers ,smon.

Hi,

You've probably already tried this but if you click the places to dive tab on the top of this page there is a section called UK places to dive (or something similar) lots of places to dive, details and comments from people who've been before
