hi doctor i once had an attac of svt(2007)i take one 15mg of flecanide a day i have cut out all caffine including chocolate stop smoking since last september alcohole to a minimum a heart surgen at my hospitle said i am aok to take up scuba diving be for i start spending money can you confirm,many thanks,tobo.

Thanks for the query.

If you've never had another episode of SVT and are entirely free of side effects of the drug, then diving might be possible. I would suggest you see a diving doctor in person to go through your case in detail before spending a lot of money on courses etc. Bring along any relevant details from your cardiologist (your GP will have copies of letters etc.)
