Question

In 2001 I had a suspected pulmonary embolism after a car accident left me immobile for 2 weeks. I was hospitalized and treated with warfarin. I would like to try diving but wonder if this would have any effect on my ability to dive?

Thanks for the query.

A pulmonary embolism generally dissolves over a period of a few months, so 9 years on you should have no residual problems. There are some caveats to diving whilst taking warfarin, but presumably you stopped the warfarin many years ago, so no need to worry about that.

Hope that helps
