Hi, On 16-01-09 I had an operation to remove multiple pelvic abseses following a burst appendix. My surgeon says I am ok to start diving again. I want to get back in the water. I feel good physically and mentally. However I would like your opinion as you will understand the effects diving has on the body probably more than my doctor. Thanks

Hello. If your recovery has been uncomplicated and the surgeon has cleared you, then you should be fine to dive again. A ball park figure would be about 6 weeks after this type of surgery, so by the beginning of March if you feel well, you can jump back into the water.
