Question

I want to complete an EFR Instructor course but i've been told i need to complete the EFR CPR+First Aid course first, by our dive instructor.
I'm already a trained first aider with the Red Cross, which is renewed every 12-24 months as part of first aid cover my bike club supply to Nova for the great north run/manchester/edinborough etc. Now as part of my Dive Master training i'm hoping to complete the EFR Instructors course with several friends. The front of the book states a pre-requisite of any comparible first aid course, but it doesn't make it clear if thats for partaking of an EFR course that I would teach, or if thats a pre-requisite for the EFR Instructors course.

If this could be cleared up and the source of info supplied i'd be greatful, as i don't wish to pay for an EFR course, when i'm already trained and qualified to the same by another body.

Thanks very much

This is a minefield of confusion, and the best thing I can recommend is that you contact PADI directly with your question. Try their HQ in Bristol:

PADI International Ltd, Unit 7, St Philips Central, Albert Road, St Philips, Bristol, BS2 0PD.
