Do I need a medical certificate for diving? I'm 49 years old. I had an operation for Crohn's disease five years ago but have been OK since. I take cholestyramine and pentasa daily. I am fit and go to a gym 3-4 times a week. My blood pressure, heart rate and bmi are good. If I do need a certificate is there anywhere in Essex where I can get one?

Yes you do need a medical from a dive doc to assess the Crohn's. Everything else sounds fine so you have every chance of passing. So come along and see us - we're based in St Johns Wood in London - 0207 806 4028 for an appointment.
