Yikes! I'm due to have a C-section in August and someone just told me that I can expect to be out of the water for up to 6 months afterwards! Is this true? If so, why, dear god, why?

6 months is a little top heavy, like any op where the abdominal muslcles are incised and sewn up, eg a hernia etc , then 6-8 weeks or until full lifting strength is more appropriate....
that'll be the case with you,
the only thing that could take it to 6 months is your childs maternal needs!
