I have never dived before but I am considering a diving course/ holiday in the near future. I am 37 years old and was diagnosed with type one diabetes a year ago. I have not had any hospitalisation since diagnosis tho' do have reasonably regular hypos which I self recognize and successfully treat. I follow the DAFNE insulin/food programme and have good control (current Hba1c 7.1). What if anything should I know!!!

YOu will need to se a dive doctor for assessment before you dive, the HBA1C is good, however having regular hypos like you say would count againt you.
