Hello,
I am currently a BSAC Sports diver and have suffered a head injury and consequent seizure/ fit some 6 six weeks ago. This was non diving related. Where do I stand with diving? what are the general recommendations?
I have yet to see a nuerologist as referal in the NHS takes some time! If I am given a clean bill of health is there any recommended period of time I should remain fittless before resuming diving ?

I would grateful of any advice you may have as I want to go diving!

I have not fitted again since the whack on the head and along with my GP feel this was the soul cause of the seizure.

As this is a one off fit due to an obvious cause, the best thing to do is not dive until you have seen the neurologist. Then when seen, as long as they are 100% happy that it will never happen again, and there is no damage at all, then once you have seen a dive doc after as wel, you will be ok\
